Cookie Policy
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website or use an app. Cookies allow the service to remember your preferences, keep your session active, measure audience and improve the user experience. SDKs (software development kits) and similar tools integrated in mobile apps serve comparable functions.
1. Who uses these cookies?
The lavea.app website and the Lavea mobile app are operated by ProstechSolutions, located at Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. For any questions about the use of cookies, contact: privacy@staging.lavea.app.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the service to function. They maintain your session, secure your exchanges, store your language preferences and ensure smooth transactions. They are automatically activated and cannot be disabled without affecting the service. Examples: session cookie, authentication token, language preference, CSRF security.
3. Analytics and audience measurement cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site and app: pages visited, visit duration, errors encountered, traffic sources. Data is collected in aggregated form and does not allow direct identification. It is used to improve the service, fix bugs and adapt content. These cookies may require your consent under applicable law. You may decline them without affecting the main service functionality.
4. Preference cookies
These cookies remember your choices to personalise your experience: display theme, language, notification preferences. Disabling them may result in the loss of certain personalisations on each visit.
5. Third-party cookies and tools
Lavea may use third-party services for notifications, payments, hosting or analytics. These providers may place their own cookies or use SDKs. Lavea ensures these providers comply with applicable privacy rules. The list of main third-party tools will be updated in this policy.
6. SDKs and tools in the mobile app
The mobile app may integrate SDKs for push notifications, Mobile Money payments, technical diagnostics and performance analytics. These tools do not have access to your personal data beyond what is strictly necessary. No payment secret keys are stored in the app.
7. Managing your cookie preferences
On the website: you can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. On the mobile app: you can manage permissions (location, notifications) through your phone settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit some service features without preventing its main use.
8. Retention period
Session cookies expire when you close your browser or app. Persistent cookies (preferences, analytics) have a limited lifespan, generally a few months. The duration is defined for each cookie and complies with maximum authorised retention periods.
9. Policy updates
Lavea may amend this policy to reflect changes in tools used, legal rules or internal practices. The last update date will be shown at the top of this page. For any questions, contact: privacy@staging.lavea.app.
